Landmark makes quality documentaries and short films. In all our TV output, we’ve tried to make television that is kind – not cruel – about contributors. We like films that are inspiring about human beings – their potential, their achievements and their quirks.
We’re proud so many of our broadcast films are funny, warm, empathetic, irreverent, honest and direct. We like television that celebrates difference and underlines a common humanity in lives that seem very different.
We prize honesty in dealings with contributors – it’s important to us that they like the films they appear in and that they feel we have honoured their trust and kept our promises to them.
We’ve maintained that approach in our current work – mostly short films and commercials. We deal honestly with people who commission us: We don’t oversell films and we spend programme budgets on making programmes.
